a bit tight to get onto my Hope rims, but I think this might be a good thing. They are so grippy on the loose gravel, so far feel amaizing.

Only used once so far. They are on my sl8 road bike for winter use as I go on trails/roads but seemed OK so far

Nice rolling tyres, lot of grip, not the easiest assembly but managable

Rode The Gralloch on these tyres and they were flawless

Very happy with these tyres, fitted as upgrades to my new Boardman TRVL 9.2. Fast and/but confidence inspiring on a local mix of gravel, singletrack and fairly rough roads.

Great riding tyre but just done coast to coast over several surfaces, they seem to have poor puncture protection as tyre seal sorted at least 4 punctures

Very happy with them so far. Fitted tubeless

I recently installed this two gravel tires on my MTB, and overall, they perform quite well. After the initial ride, I immediately noticed a solid grip, especially on dry and mixed terrain. However, traction is a bit less impressive in muddy conditions.

Mounting them was somewhat challenging—they’re a bit stiff—but once fitted, they look fantastic on a 30mm rim. The profile really complements the bike’s aesthetics.

In short: good performance, excellent grip on most surfaces, slightly less effective in mud, and a stylish look once mounted.

Bought these in preparation for a bike packing trip in the south downs and they did not disappoint. Very comfortable tires that didnt feel too slow either. I wasn't sure on what would be the best set for me to buy but the support team were very helpful with their recommendations. Thank you Duncan!

Very good, very comfortable and roll fairly easy on roads despite the width.

So you buy a pair

So you buy a pair of new tires and ask me two days after if I like them. What you want me to say? They look great? Give at least a month for a honest review!

Thanks for the feedback, we have updated the delay to allow more time for customers to try our products? Are you able to update the review to better reflect the tyre please? Thanks.

Very good

Very good gravel tire!
Runs as fast as the Specialized Pathfinder Pro but it has a lot more grip offroad.

Only 4 stars, because of the tire width (max.45mm).
If there will be an tire with 50mm or 52mm, it would be the best gravel tire for me!

I rode the FNDL gravel

I rode the FNDL gravel race on them. Great rolling and grip on the loose stuff.

Suction cup butter cup

I am riding these with tubes on Ryde Zac 19 so for all those tubeless die hards or those who feel my setup isn’t elite enough for you, feel free to dismiss this now. Yes I buy tires that are worth more than my whole bike put together because that’s what makes the most difference in the end. These x1s rise and feel amazing. Truly a fast rolling tire on a variety of surfaces, while also able to grip as of little men with suction cups were somehow integrated unto the tire. My complaint? Getting these dogs seated on the rim. It took me sandwiching a mounted overinflated tire between the slats of a wooden pallet and pulling the wheel in either direction to get it to sit. Yes— I used soapy water. What a headache.

First impressions are really good.

First impressions are really good. They went on reasonably easily and run well on and off road. First ride was very promising. I was surprised by how much grip they had in some very gloopy mud, wet grass and chalk. And they felt pretty much as quick as my old Schwalbe G-One Rs, which were superb tyres but definitely not worth the extra £20 (*per tyre*!) over the GravelKings.

Upgrade does the job!

The new GravelKing tyre proved a great addition to my bike.
Fitted and sealed on rims ( Hunt Aero 35) first time. Very little air loss overnight.
Rode at Dirty Reiver 130- faultless over all terrain and even handled muddy single track sections with aplomb
Would recommend

Gravelking X1 for Dirty Reiver

Bought these for the Dirty Reiver, my first gravel event. They were tough to fit on my Prime rims, but I suppose they need to be to make a good seal. First tubeless fitting for me and they sealed fine with normal track pump first time. Advised on about 35psi for my weight of 82kg, reckon I could have gone slightly less, but had no issues on the 130k that I did. Heard loads of stone ‘pings’ and descended pretty fast and confidently, couldn’t fault them in all honesty.

Excellent, tested at the Dirty

Excellent, tested at the Dirty Reiver and they were very sure footed. I wasn't sure about tyre pressure as I run tubes but 35psi worked well. No punctures despite dozens of riders at the side of the trails doing repairs.
