Inner tubes must match your wheel diameter and tyre width. Check the sidewall of your tyre for numbers like 700×32 or 29×2.2”. Choose a tube within that width range and with the correct valve type (Presta or Schrader).

Most riders refresh sealant every 3–6 months, but hot climates or heavy mileage can require more frequent top-ups. Regular checks help maintain puncture protection.

Essential tools include tyre levers, a pump or CO₂ inflator, and optionally a bead jack for tight tyres. For tubeless setups, you may also need rim tape, valves, and an inflator that can deliver a rapid air blast.

It’s best not to mix brands. Different formulas can react poorly, reducing effectiveness. Stick to one brand and fully clean out the tyre if switching.

CO₂ inflators are faster and ideal for quick roadside fixes, but the gas dissipates over time. A mini pump is reliable for repeated use. Many riders carry both.
