I run a pair of 700x40 GravelKing Semi Slick TLR Colour Edition Matcha on my purple Grizl 7 AL. Very colorful and my favorite tyre for commuting and mixed surfaces where tarmac and light gravel is the majority. For light trails (or just less tarmac in the mix) I prefer the GravelKing SK.
Not only are the matcha green gravel kings a wicked colour, they roll very nicely too and the width at 45mm is just right for good trail grip and comfort, especially on a vintage steel frame like the surly cross check, which has just enough clearance. A bit of wrestling needed to coerce these tyres onto the hope hoops but no issues thereafter and looking very smart
Seem good so far, i had a few issues mounting them. I still use tubes and had to inflate to around 80psi to seat the tyre correctly. Ive put around 100 miles on them without issues. Very pleased with the smooth running and resistance on different surfaces.
